And so I racked my brains for hours on end... 

And I looked at the whole business from every single angle ... and I started to notice some patterns in the business that I had not seen before... 

The pattern I spotted was that 85% of my revenues were coming from 3 core areas of the business ... and those 3 core areas were where I was spending the LEAST amount of my time (less then 10% of my total time working on the business) 

And what I realized was... I could take the promotion and still have the business if All I did was focus on these 3 core activities.. 

These activities were ... Getting listings... Answering sales calls 
and fulfilling services

And then I had another thought... What if i had other people do these 3 activities... 

What would that allow me to do.. 

And that's when I realized... 

That if I hired people to do only these activities 

That I could grow the business without almost any of my time... 

And when that thought hit me it went of like a liughtening bolt in my head... 
So I decided to get to work.. 

I decided to get in and focus only on these 3 activities and what's more put a plan in place to have other people be responsible for these activities so that not only could the business grow ... 

It could grow without me.. 

Fast forward a few months... and my entire business future had changed... 

I had taken the promotion but the business was now earning more in a week than my salary at work was bringing in...

I had finally cracked the code and it was because I was forced to look at how I could have both options...  

And it was in being forced to find another better alternative... 

That I found a way to get both options... 

The business and my job...

And so I had learned a valuable lesson

Which is:

The first and main problem the business had was that we had not been focusing on revenue generating activities...

I had been doing busy work and I was getting all of the results that came from doing busy work..

… Well sometimes they do come but more often than not you have to make them come to you...
